It depends on the relation between the patient's symptoms and the symptoms (effects) medicine can produce in the human body i.e. medicinal effect.
If these two are dissimilar (allo) in their manifestation then 3 possibilities can occur.
A disease and its similar symptoms producing medicine (i.e. homoepathic medicine) never stay in the body simultaneously. Always a homoeopathic medicinal effect first displace the disease. Then due its minimum dose its effect, that was similar to the disease, will disappear from the human body soon leaving it cured. So, a medicine from homoeopathy pharmacy, if not selected according to the symptoms similarity then it should not be called a Homoeopathic prescription, it is equivalent to allopathic prescription (dissimilar to the disease).
